Houdini is also the simulation GOAT (i think its closed source), so while blender is really cool, it maybe doesnt fit this category.

I guess this is kinda inconsistent, I use calyx on a pixel 6. When I bought it, the battery would last 20 hours SCREEN OFF… But after one magical update, its now over 100 (~5 days). So I guess OP should just pray that a similar update gets to his phone lol…
Same applies to gaps
I don’t pretend anything, I commented my personal experiences. So I guess we both shouldn’t expect our experience to be the norm…
And tbh, statistically you have the upper hand, most people do use windows after all. (76% or something like that?)
My man, you think 90% of pcs have a graphics card at all? I live in a poor country, so does the majority of the worlds population, and almost no one has a graphics card here.
Yeah, I was having trouble with sleep, and kwin compositing (KDE), so I switched to proprietary drivers and X11, its working pretty well.
Well, my brother installed linux (mint) on more than 30 laptops that we were fixing to reuse. Im pretty sure none of them had any driver problems.
Tbh, unless you have a NVIDIA graphics card, or are using arch*, driver issues almost never happen.
*my personal thinkpads wifi board didn’t work in arch, but that may be because I had already borked that install completly.
I use rEFInd for the UI, and tbh, im not looking back either lol
What ate the minimum specs? I doubt my pentium server will run it, but still good to know.
Lol, I switched to kde plasma and because the windows logo bottom left was replaced with a K, neither my dad or my sister knew how to shut down the pc 🤦♀️

He is V.I.B.
Just to chip in, cloudflare tunnels are a thing and also transverse CGNAT. Or you could use LocalXPosed, and other sevices like that.
Its the opposite for me, first time I actually got caught in one.
I speak three languages (all of them badly), and I agree, I just have to long press space and select the language I’m typing in if I want correction or suggestions.
I will try to guess how that works!
keep in mind that I have no clue on how BASIC sintax works lol
1 -> function declared
2 -> variable x and y initiated to values 0 and 1.
3 -> for loop created that goes from 1 to 26 (updating variable N)
4 -> Variable R is created, its value is the square root of (x^2 + y^2). Xs and Ys values are set to be themselves divided by R.
5 -> P variable created (it stores the value of PI), and set to (2 ^ N) * square root of (x - 1) ^ 2 + y ^ 2. Lastly X is increased by one
6 -> Proceed only after for loop is done
7 -> return the variable P
(I do recognize I just transcribed the code, and I also made an implementation in python of it, lol)
now for why that works ill figure another time, its 12:30 pm here and I am eepy :). But I have recognized that X tends to 2 and Y to 0.
and I am pretty sure this implements the algorithm of creating higher and higher “resolution” circles so starting with a triangle and adding more and more vertices (vertex?). Ill edit in the full explanation late :)
here is my implementation:
def CalcPi():
X = 0
Y = 1
P = 0
for i in range(1,26):
R = sqrt(X**2 + Y**2)
X = X/R
Y = Y/R
P = (2**i) * sqrt((X-1)**2 + Y**2)
X += 1
return P
No problem, I was just curious, and I guess you had the same question :)
But wont you lose like 99% of the user base? Or is it cross compatible?
$20 a day is 1.5x minimum wage in Brazil. And we aren’t even that poor.
This is soo real, and applies three fold for smartphone apps. OSS docuemtn scanner and Metronome and Tuner by thetwom are GOATs.
