What all would you count as a loading screen, anyway? Would a quick fade out and in count? What about the doors in Resident Evil? The short transitions between areas in MGS1? The teleporters in Soul Reaver with the animation of activating the portal?

I feel like these are all loading screens, they’re just not as jarring as, say, a Bethesda RPG’s full screen images and progress bar. Similar to how some modern games hide loading by having your character squeeze through a gap in a wall.

I am finding it interesting that what is displayed in the app is different than the web interface. Not sure why the text wouldn’t be exactly the same.

Sooo… Is there no actual explanation because there aren’t any PS1 games that hid loading screens? I can’t recall a single game from that console that did not have super obvious loading screens.

Not all the different services talk to each other in a way that you can use just 1 account for the entire fediverse. Lemmy, Piefed and Mastodon can all cross communicate (tho afaik Mastodon is one way only-you can post to Lemmy from Mastodon, but not Lemmy to Mastodon); but none of them communicate with Matrix. So you need at least 2 accounts if you wanted to use all of these services.
