No it doesn’t. If I say I’m melting on a hot day, I’m not trying to minimize the suffering of burn victims. It’s just comparison.
I fuck numbers.

Yeah, if you want me to hear your endless bitching, you at least need to invite me for drinks (or potluck, if you don’t drink) sometimes. Even then, I might just offer some advice every once in a while. A little bit of tough love is sometimes necessary.

This just reeks of right wing anti-intellectualism. People actually offering solutions are vilified because they’re sometimes rude or annoying. Grow up, and learn to ignore people you want to ignore. Not everyone will bow down to your whims. You wanna complain, fine, some will respond with solutions. If you don’t want that, ignore them. It’s not very hard.

Yeah, snapper just works better with btrfs in my experience, but timeshift is fine too.

Arch is great for gaming. Also, if you’re familiar with how Linux works, Arch pretty much gets out of your way. Just have btrfs with snapper for rolling back any mistakes. (Although, I’ve only had to do that once in the last 5 years or so on Arch. And I was trying to replace the graphics driver, so kinda on me.)
I’ve already taken the RAM and SSD for my home server, but I don’t think I can use much else. Not much of a hardware guy. I’ll happily send it over to anyone if they paid for shipping (I’ll even add some old RAM). Some screws are stripped, so the chassis doesn’t close properly, but if those are replaced, it can be a perfectly usable laptop with some RAM and SSD. It’ll be better than just dumping it.
I’ve thought of doing it, but the power draw wouldn’t be reasonable.

Does Jellyfin do smart playlists yet?
Edit: There seems to be a plugin. So, now it’s just about the fact that I already have it set up the way I want, and that I don’t wanna put all my eggs in the same basket. But I guess using Jellyfin for music is totally viable now.

In fish, you can enter part of the command, and then press up to search for it. It’s kinda awesome.

Yeah, I was just trying to prove a point that anything that’s a blanket statement saying everyone or no-one does something is invalid, unless it’s a physical constraint. (Even those break inside neutron stars and black holes.)
I agree with you that almost everyone is susceptible to propaganda, but to say that no one is immune is simply wrong. Anyway, sorry for being annoying and pedantic, but it was kind of on purpose.

That’s propaganda.

Maybe some are. You may have fallen for some propaganda here.

VPN should be enough. Just make sure you bind your torrent client to the VPN interface. If you want to be extra careful, use a seedbox or a debrid service.

Sorry, but I use my real name on GitHub.
I can say that it’s not a very complex project, and I think that simplicity is probably why people like it.

I’m an amateur programmer at best, and the height of my programming “career” was when my friend told me their IT was using my tool internally. It has a few hundred stars on GitHub now, so not too bad. Sad thing is that I have other projects that I actually am passionate about, but they don’t get much love.
Using US Mobile right now, and pretty happy with it. Cheap, great coverage (you can actually choose the network), great speeds. I’ve also used Mint in the past, and that was pretty good too. Both are very comparable to Fi, but with a lower pricetag.
