12 days agoThere isn’t such a feature on android because they can’t scan your stuff for advertising if it is an encrypted blob. Apple let’s you do this with an iphone, iirc.

Hellman’s mayo does have a chemical preservative. “Natural flavors” is a bit suspect, too.
Veganaise is full of highly processed and vat-grown ingedients, just like “ben 'n jerry’s” has been trending.
Most restaurant stuff is full of compromises.
I think the 800 pound gorilla is cost vs quality, not nutrition. All those restaurants have shit quality, mcdonald’s-like production lines, and are a suck-ass eating experience.
22·1 month agoSomeone threw a check for vpn detection and/or for spurious blacklist of cgnat addresses after the captcha validation, and probably giggled to themselves as they did it. Been happening for several years now.

Oh god, that was 27 years ago. No can do, that’s lost in the black hole of time.
DES was in wide use until AES because of standards. The RSA libs commonly accepted in the finance industry still used DES in the three round form until AES replaced it (so 2001 is when the replacement started, I imagine some banking systems and government systems still used it post 911 and well into the 2020’s).
MIT press put out the book, so it is probably still available. Using HTTPS for everything was a huge step up in security for everyone, not least because OS updates address vulnerabilities. The RSA labs libraries were statically linked back in the 90’s, IIRC (at the very least a blob you shipped with your app.)
I wrote a script to extract email addresses from job postings and send my resume to them all when I graduated college. Got me a job, anyway.
“Cracking DES”, about 56 bit encryption you are talking about, was released in 1998, and showed how to construct an fpga machine to decrypt DES in just hours (their proto did it in a week), and also showed that DES was weakened on purpose to allow the US to decrypt foreign comms.
Wages for workers are the biggest line item for most companies. Owners hates it because that money is theirs, by golly. The concept of being part of an economy never enters their stream of consciousness, only the desire to optimize sucking money out of it.
Doing so might start a dialog with respect to the US two party system he hijacked. The system leaves us vulnerable to demagogues (in addition to limiting common input to governance.)

6·3 months agoAll these captchas just make me evaluate effort vs need. Facebook throws a captcha every time because I log in from a private window. Before it just gave me a warning unrelated to my interests. I mostly use facebook for work, and those sweet lawnmowing videos. If they keep it up I will only log in for work.
The em drive is what you’re thinking of, this is something different. That thing dropped off the radar a long time ago.
