Its poor opsec to pay with a credit card and expect a corp to violate court orders for you.
I’m not a fan of proton but we need to educate people about this instead of shaming a faceless corp for being a faceless Corp.

You can literally just tell the AI to disable sleep settings ,this is beyond stupid, they aren’t even running the actual LLMs on the laptops so it doesn’t even matter

Just make sure you can relock the bootloader after you install the e/os ROM or anyone with a USB cable can do as they please with your phones OS. AFAIK that feature is limited to pixel phones and some fair phones, so your options are a bit slim.

Wifi HaLow is a bit closer to capable of early 00s internet speeds while reaching 1km, meshtastic and mescore reach 100x further and are good enough for text but not really capable of any media.
More people need to adopt both, here’s hoping.

I’m surprised this wasn’t already the case, how did patreon get an exception in the first place? I don’t know anything about how apple billing with patreon works but the way this sounds is that patreon’s “Legacy Billing” somehow allows creators to get around the 30% fee that is normally standard to anything on apple, and the means to enable/disable this feature is entirely in the hands of individual creators rather than patreon or apple, weird.

You can install them wherever you want.

The main difference is cachy has their own repos that contain packages optimized for more modern cpus, although they are optional they could potentially be a speed improvement.
Having tried both i would say cachyos is probably better for gaming and a bit more noob friendly but only slightly.

Unsupported typically just means they wont provide (technical) support if/when it breaks.
What special apps are you using to view it?
If your router is provided by your ISP then its like for their usage

“Rapist granted custody of child” is much more clear and to the point.

“Client” sure seems like an odd word choice here.
I think thats a good position to have, if librewolf works for you i hope it continues to do so.
I used to be more of an open source purist but recent and not so recent events have shifted my thinking, it seems to be one of the four freedoms is regularly taken advantage of by corporations and should be reconsidered. Not that we as individuals shouldnt have those freedoms, but for-profit corps specifically have proven time and time again that they will only take and never give back.
Its just as open source as the other chromium based browsers
They also have very valid reasons for keeping the features that make the UI unique closed, seeing how many open source projects like ffmpeg get completely taken advantage of its a smart move.
Youll find that parts of brave arent actually open source either, such as their built in AI or the build in crypto wallet.
At some point you gotta ask if its worth having open source purity tests when even the flagship products are shoveling AI and other garbage no one wants into their browser.
Librewolf might pass that purity test for now, but without mozilla librewolf likely would not continue, vivaldi does not have this problem.

Give vivaldi a try, not because brave is bad, but because vivaldi is better in every way.

What are the odds the classic “expertsexchange” ends up out lasting stack exchange?

This is awesome! I’m now using the swarm to control my living room lights.

Orbot in vpn mode should prevent websits from knowing your original IP but IP is not the only way your phone can be identified. Its possible you need to check your settings to see what else could be leaking info.
More accurately Orbot is a proxy not a vpn, but on mobile devices its usually easier to just use the “vpn mode” so traffic is always routed over tor instead of having to manually set proxy for each app you want to use tor with.
50% might have been a fair cut if they actually asked for permission up front, but they didn’t. Everything made by AI is fruit if the poison tree and should be something equal to public domain.
