3·1 month agoIt saw how it was made, and (incorrectly?) inferred the best way to reproduce was to simulate humanity starting in 2012 and wait for the simulated humans to create another AI. Natural selection took over, and now we’re in a simulation more optimized for speed-running the development of unregulated AI, while other details get fewer resources. Nobody knows how many levels deep we are.

3·3 months agoFor porn (in most of the us), the goal is geolocation spoofing to avoid ID requirements, not anonymity.
That said, I doubt edge achieves even that, since they likely keep their servers in the states. I was more talking about VPNs broadly.
