that’s not the point, passkeys are not vendor centric, they are a standard. you don’t want to duplicate a passkey for the same reason you don’t want to copy an SSH private key on multiple devices. it’s a security feature that allows disabling the account access in case the device becomes compromised (lost, stolen, infected, etc.)

• you picked a song that has audible compression artifacts however small they may be
• you are in a quiet room
• you are actively looking for compression artifacts

you may hear a difference. if you think otherwise, then do a lossy vs lossless blind test and be impressed that you actually cannot hear the difference most of the time (especially without actively looking for the artifacts)

TPM and trusted computing/boot chains are some of the single most important security measures that we’ve had in the last decade. I can agree on the kernel level stuff though that’s a bit bullshit even though I understand why low level access is needed for some anti cheat tasks and DRM prevention.
