Wait I don’t mean to put any shade on these developers but don’t we already have Linux and wine, why would you try to copy windows?

Chinese capitalists are still capitalists.

The rtx 3060 is a fine gpu in 2026. Can it play modern aaa games in 4k ultra setting? No. But people just want cheap gpu’s back no one wants to pay half a grand for an entry level card.
Im still gaming on a 3060 and can even the most modern games at 1080p low/med settings.

Nah I’ll keep my 100 mb and my ego thank you very much!
Sorry, I didn’t catch on to the embedded sarcasm part. Anyhow back to arguing.
Linux user friendly enough for most people? The most trivial thing for you can be really complex for others without experience.
I have seen windows users use macOS for the first time and vise versa. Neither windows or macOS are intuitive. What do you mean you have to open a browser and download an exe file and then open it (said some macOS user)? Why does your window snapping barely work? (said some windows user) I’d say a first time user would consider linux more intuitive than either macos or windows.
There isn’t anything intuitive about opening terminal to install an app from the repository because the default app store version is broken.
Yeah this is true, kinda funny when people use chatgpt for help and the first thing it always says is open terminal.
And to be fare just last night I installed fedora on some laptop with an old fedora 42 iso and I tried to update it to fedora 44 using the gui software manager and it just didn’t work. I ended up updating in the terminal.

it is bloat. also were is your package for (insert any very obscure program). I guess your going to have to rely on appimages or building from source for this one!
I feel like there are so many people here who have never used BSD and are just vibe commenting.
What the hell is this take. Firstly your cooling the average user dumb which is just kinda rude and untrue, Also developers are working really hard to build the best possible Linux experience for everyone. how about you actually chip in before shaming them for not working hard enough. And Linux is already user friendly enough for most people, arguably more user friendly than windows. People just want to stick to what they know, also vendor lock in, and most people don’t know how to install Linux and will just use the default operating system. I don’t think Linux devs can do anything to fix any of those problems.
Vectors don’t have pixels so infinite resolution. Although they don’t work on real photos they work really well on logos.
Very nice. Only complaint is this only existing as a jpeg rather than a vector svg.

fare I suppose

The US government could easily force google to put a compromised binary of signal on the google play store.

which make it illegal for any signal employee to tell you that any US government agency has asked for this information.
That’s funny so this list of government data requests is just meaningless.

Signal and Tor have both received huge amounts of US government funding, very suspicious.

Why are you so certain?
I’m kinda annoyed by people who just put down my personal opinion about the state of gaming on Linux or anything by using their own experience.
I agree most of my games run fine on Linux, but I would like to try out valorant but it doesn’t work. The force feedback for the steering wheel I use with beamng requires a lot of extra setup which I haven’t gotten around to (on windows it just works). I don’t play many games but these are just some of my experiences.
I don’t believe so, they’re open source as well and you can do some research around it. I’ve used them with no issues. windows activation scripts
In case you dont already know, use protondb to find if you games will work.
I’m pretty sure big tech already had access to all of your pictures, and I don’t think this means the UK government will gain access, they don’t even know what to do with it anyway.
I mean they explicitly say it should be done in a way so that no data leaves the device.
