It is sad that the only way for this people to learn is when the fascist that they backed up start to hit them as well. Otherwise, they will never care for what is currently happening.

Late Stage Capitalism@lemmygrad.ml•Argentina's Neoliberalism. When those at the top sing and those at the bottom burn, the story always ends the same way. Sustained cynicism, disconnection, and humiliation are unsustainable.
5·2 months agoWell, there is just too much context jeje. Let me start from the most visible one:
- In the post, we see exactly two videos where one is Milei dancing and singing while the Patagonia is burning due to these 3 reasons:
- IDF war criminals are setting the Patagonia on fire with the aim to take advantage of the deregulation affecting rural land(More here -> https://lemmygrad.ml/post/10356502). In summary, these IDF criminals, that were given state benefits, can buy up land that was previously protected for decades after a wildfire because it can now be reclassified and sold.
- Milei also gutted around 70% of the resources needed to fight the fires. This adding to the bullet point before not only allows the state to avoid responsibility but to also benefit from all of that burned land.
- Milei gutted several institutions that were in charge of controlling forest fires like “Servicio Nacional de Manejo del Fuego”.
There is more but with this it could help solve some of the context behind the post.
Regarding the woman with whom he kisses, that’s Fátima Florez, an actress and comedian, and not his sister.

5·2 months agoWell, the video is originally from X/Twitter. What I do is right click in the video through xcancel and open it in another tab. The video link that appears in that tab is from “video. twimg. com”.
That’s what I use to post it as a link that will then embed in this website. It is wonderful because it reduces clicks and allows comrades to stay in Lemmygrad while viewing the content.

Communism@lemmygrad.ml•Why is the western left so anti-communist?
16·4 months agoI have a hunch that every leftist space has some CIA presence trying to divide people, and sometimes even leftists themselves don’t realize they’re contributing to it
Well, it is a hunch well placed because COINTELPRO was very effective at disorganizing/demobilizing orgs when it was exposed for the first time. Some of this information is shared by Ben Norton and in Michael Parenti’s “Left Anticommunist the unkindest cut”
- This is just one piece of evidence showing how US cops and feds use anarchism and ultra-left ideology to disrupt the socialist movement and disguise imperialist talking points as “left-wing.”

5·4 months agoIt really is a good idea too! It also shows the importance of reaching as much people as possible. Also, it will be interesting if this was also applied in other countries. It is reality that every region has its own needs and if we go even smaller the needs could be even more specific. For example, this part:
An important principle is that we don’t target mass audiences, but rather specific micro-audiences: groups of voters united by a common problem and similar media consumption patterns. For example, not just “women 35+,” but “mothers on maternity leave in Ryazan dissatisfied with the price of baby food.” Or not just “pensioners,” but “people with incomes below 18,000 rubles interested in Soviet history and healthcare.” For each such group, AI helps craft a tailored message, inspiring trust and motivating action.
From a perspective of improving agitation, this could also help to analyze as much as possible to generate more grassroot orgs focused for specific needs with a specific message. For farmers, a message. For tech engineers, another message and so on.

GenZhou@lemmygrad.ml•What [if anything] makes Maduro different from Chavez?
9·4 months agoFrom my perspective, Maduro is the continuation of Chavez project. However, what matters more is what Maduro is doing to replace the bourgeois democracy:
You can understand what the two have done in that post that I shared. A brief teaser of that post:
spoiler
Ramón Grosfoguel emphasized that Commander Chávez made a fundamental “decolonial turn” in Latin American political thought. Chávez understood that the dilemma between “statists and anarchists” is a “false dilemma” inherited from the European left, unrelated to the reality of the region. For Chávez, the strategy is not “this or that,” but “both at once”: contesting the representative state, winning elections, and thereby interrupting policies of domination (neoliberal, patriarchal, racist), while simultaneously building the framework for popular decision-making and participation, that is, communal power, from outside . Abandoning the state to the right or far right would be “handing them the occupation of its structures on a silver platter,” so the battle must be fought in both directions simultaneously.
Grosfoguel emphasized that the challenges posed by the transition to a communal state or society are “original to the Bolivarian process,” as there is no successful previous experience to serve as a model. He recalled that Hugo Chávez always encouraged us to look critically at 20th-century socialism, warning that, with the best intentions, “21st-century socialism” could repeat its problems. He historically analyzed how, after the Paris Commune, Marx and Engels conceived of a “communal communard state,” which Lenin attempted to systematize with the experience of the soviets during the Russian Revolution. However, after the civil war, the soviets were destroyed, and 20th-century socialism, for the most part, was built on that 1921 “snapshot,” with a party that “ruled by commanding” rather than “obeying.” In his speeches, Chávez warned the community members not to allow themselves to be “instrumentalized or dominated” by the party, insisting that power should be in the hands of the people and the party at the service of the commune , not the other way around, a clear reference to the Soviet experience where the communes became “transmission belts” for the party.
Given that there is no prior experience with a transition from an inherited state to a communal state, Grosfoguel affirmed that Venezuela is “innovating” on the socialist experience of the last 200 years, following Simón Rodríguez’s maxim: “we invent or we err.” The challenge is how to move from a representative state, built by the bourgeoisie and imperialism, to a communal society where power does not operate from the top down .
(…)
President Nicolás Maduro’s call for the new era to be characterized by “handing power over to the people” represents a fundamental challenge. It entails a reconfiguration of the state’s role, where the state “disempowers itself” to transfer authority, transforming representation delegated through voting into direct and meaningful participation . The speakers analyzed how these models of representation and participation dynamically intertwine in the current moment of transition, raising crucial questions about how models of representation and participation interact in the current moment of transition and about the coexistence of future elected mayors with these ideas of political and democratic construction.

Technology@lemmygrad.ml•🤖 Autonomous rice-planting Robots are freeing Chinese farmers from the hardest work in the fields.
71·5 months agoI understand your frustration. However, don’t let that frustration make you think your voice is small and weak when in reality it is the contrary.
For me, these two essays helped when agitating the people around me:
- https://redsails.org/water-droplets-drilling-through-rock/
The first essay teaches you a way to talk about this topics with better strategies. Lots of americans and latin americans in China have been using it for different topics to show how incredible is the difference between socialism and capitalism and you can see for yourself that it is working. People that were in classes that regularly go against us are fighting with us.
The second essay even gives a dialectical lesson that could apply to agitation which is the water droplets that drill the rock:
-
Upon settling in the countryside, I saw firsthand the power of dripping water drilling through rock. That image, which captured the spirit of persistence, has stayed with me all these years. It has become a well-worn source for contemplating life and movement.
-
Rock and water are two opposing elements that are used to symbolize dogged stubbornness and gentle fluidity. Yet despite being “gentle,” water will drill through “solid” rock over time.
-
As a metaphor for people, this is the embodiment of a certain moral character: it is the willingness to rise to fight each time one falls and the courage to sacrifice oneself. A single drop of water is small and insubstantial. It will die a cruel “death” in any battle with a rock. Yet in that brief moment of “sacrifice,” even though it cannot see its own value and achievement, it is embodied within the countless drops of water that have already fallen, and the triumph of finally drilling through the rock.
For me, this is a good example of what agitation could really do when we persevere like the water droplet. Instead of looking at agitation like a battle on “who’s right and who’s wrong”, we should strive to make steady progress one small step at a time and be willing to lay the groundwork for overall success. Introduce them to class consciousness and study your coworkers to see what are they struggling with. One example of a topic that I am currently is gentrification in Mexico. Gentrification is something that people are all facing but you can slowly push for hightening their knowledge when you point them to the source of the problem: capitalism(through landowners and capitalist speculation)

Don’t give up comrade. You might not see the gains but soon the qualitative changes will kick in to the point that you might be pleasantly surprised.

Technology@lemmygrad.ml•🤖 Autonomous rice-planting Robots are freeing Chinese farmers from the hardest work in the fields.
61·5 months agoDeep down as a westerner, you know the answer to what You NEED to do next when the capitalists attempt to replace the western workers:
- Organize and revolt against the capitalists. Take the means of production and bring socialism to existence. Put all of that anger and frustration into attaining that goal through organization and agitation.
As for the AES like China and the countries in the Global South that will follow, AI/Robotics/Automation will not replace the workers and this was stated even officially by Liang Liang, a deputy director at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. This article from a Chinese procurement specialist echoes this:
- The question of whether AI will replace jobs or create new ones is at the heart of the global debate on automation. While it is undeniable that AI automates certain repetitive or hazardous tasks, the broader reality is that it also generates new roles and increases overall labor demand. In China, for example, the rapid adoption of industrial robots has led to a net increase in employment, as efficiency gains and new business models spur growth in ancillary sectors. Studies indicate that as companies scale up AI-driven operations, they require more skilled workers to manage, maintain, and innovate upon these systems. The narrative is shifting from one of replacement to one of augmentation: AI is enabling workers to focus on higher-value, creative, and strategic activities, while machines handle the drudgery. Human-machine collaboration is becoming the norm, with AI serving as a powerful tool that amplifies human ingenuity rather than rendering it obsolete. This shift has significant implications for workforce development. The demand for digital and AI-related skills is surging, prompting companies to invest heavily in reskilling and upskilling programs. Employees who embrace continuous learning are finding new opportunities in roles that didn’t exist a decade ago, from AI ethics officers to data-driven supply chain strategists. Rather than fearing displacement, forward-thinking professionals are leveraging AI to enhance their own capabilities, secure their positions in the evolving marketplace, and drive innovation within their organizations. Technology@lemmygrad.ml•🤖 Autonomous rice-planting Robots are freeing Chinese farmers from the hardest work in the fields.
20·5 months agoExactly. Technology, in Socialism, enhances and elevates workers. While in Capitalism, it will be used against the worker.
For me, the metaphor of the knife(tool) works to illustrate these:
- A knife(tool) in hand of a chef will be used to produce good food. While a knife(tool) in the hands of a murderer will be used to take away lives.
I think this post will help you reach an answer regarding the Cultural Revolution:

Technology@lemmygrad.ml•AI in spotlight as Chinese online literature pursues global reach
6·5 months agoYeah, I have seen that hate as well in Reddit and in some english speaking facebook pages. It is very predominant in the same highly regulated western media and western filled audience.
However, if you go to other media like Telegram, RedNote or some Russian speaking youtube channel that has AI music, you see that the tool is celebrated. I feel that this is a matter of going outside the Western bubble to see AI in a different light.

Technology@lemmygrad.ml•AI in spotlight as Chinese online literature pursues global reach
7·5 months agoReally? Maybe due to the low upvotes and/or 0 comments, people are unable to find much discussion about it 🤔 but there are lot of positive posts regarding AI in this c/Technology though.
As an example, I posted the following in this past month:
- AI system helps doctors diagnose patients in community healthcare centers in China
- Reporter show some AI innovations from healthcare to animations of old paintings in China
- China proposes AI+ International Cooperation Initiative; Nation sees AI as universal public good for global community: expert
- Alibaba Unveils AI Model to Significantly Reduce Diagnosis Time for Emergency Chest Pain
From my perspective, it shouldn’t be a taboo to discuss about AI and there should be even more discussion when AI is used for good. However, I assume that Western societies(including some westernized countries in the Global South) are unable to see beyond what capitalists do with those tools. In other words, they are unable to see how societies like Cuba, Burkina Faso, China and Vietnam are using AI for the public good.

GenZhou@lemmygrad.ml•Why are LGBTQ rights so controversial in the USSR/Former USSR anyway (compared to other places)?
8·5 months agoThe video is fine, actually it’s very good and helpful, but it doesn’t quite answer the question of why it remained criminalized even after ww2.
The answer is actually very simple and it is hinted at the end of the video 47:16 to 47:34 where they mentioned that the USSR in the 90s was presenting trans as positive and also hosted plenty LGBTQ movies. To put it in different words, the LGBTQ grassroots were stronger in the 90s and they were finally pushing for the criminalization to be undone. Grassroots organizations are essential for any social justice for the oppressed to appear.
However, this push failed when the USSR was illegally dismantled by the Yeltsin gang.

Both shows are real though and none of those are AI slop. You can find them here:
