not gonna lie comrade, this seems extremely unbalanced, I’m not even half way through and we’ve already hit the population crisis smears, atrocity propaganda, “Chinese companies are poisoning baby food for profit”, China waging a “war on terror”, somehow criticizing China for being a hyper-authoritarian hellscape and the wild west at the same time, and then some. I’m gonna finish it out but unless this was all a big gotcha this is basically straight from US official propaganda
And of course, all those points you’ve raised are valid. It is mainly the social credit system facts which were presented here surprisingly honestly and in a well-informed manner.

Is it really acceptable learning material though if it contains 10% truth with 90% pernicious lies? By appearing reasonable and objective about one thing they bolster the credibility of the falsehoods and misrepresentations they tell about everything else.
In my opinion? Yes.
It’s not for you or me, it’s for novices, people who will turn away the second you discredit any of the famous anti-government protests or deny the Uyghur genocide. They need to take small steps, or else they will be overwhelmed by disbelief. I speak from experience, as I went through the exact same thing, having been raised on a liberal diet my entire life.
