To be honest, my shithead US centric mindset kicked in there. OP never mentioned being from the US, but the rise of fascism has been a major focus as of late so I assumed they were.

While cooking classes might be nice, I would think for someone who is suspected of falling into the fascist sphere of influence that masculinity is more than likely highly emphasized so they would more than likely be offended by the thought of cooking.

I was going to join the military after highschool to get training since I’m poor and had no real direction to gamble on college, and then take it from there whether to stay in or not. First, in many states the electors are bound by law to support the candidate that wins the popular vote in their state. The penalties may vary, but the intent is clear: to make sure people realize it is against the law in that state

Honestly this is so stupid if I understand their reasoning for existing in the first place. Unless I’m misunderstanding they were supposed to exist literally for this exact election, where the people elected an absolute atrocity of a person and “our betters” would recognize that and vote against him.

We should just do away with it if we have no interest in utilizing them for their actual purposes.

I do have to admit some hypocrisy in my statement. I’m just too angry to be completely fair lately I guess, but I too have said in the past that I strongly agree with the sentiment that “no one is the villain of their own story.” I do believe that to be true.

I appreciate the confidence! I definitely have my own issues to work out. I never chose a direction because I never felt capable of anything more than menial labor. All of my interests are in either sectors with severely limited employment opportunities, or just simply way above my capabilities. As you say though, I’ll be 45 regardless. I just have to figure myself out. Thanks again!

I can’t claim to have looked at every town in every state, but the vast majority of places I go to look don’t have work even remotely close to where a house at that price would be located. To make matters worse for my specific situation, I’m “uneducated” and rapidly approaching 40 so my employment prospects are severely limited.
