I think it’s advertising for a custom domain service kinda like geocities or angelfire used to be. It’s also apparently free with the caveat that they will constantly try to upsell you on packages, and it will eventually not be free.

I started with mint cinnamon and then tried out bazzite and nobara but they both gave me issues so I’m back to mint because it really does “just work”
My server is running mint currently, but I’m going to switch to fedora at some point soon. Mostly because I have to deal with RHEL at work and I’d like to better familiarize myself with it.
I’ve only really messed with VMs running in linux and I know video acceleration can be an issue. Do VMs running on windows have an easier time of setting up GPU passthrough?
Bazzite is immutable, it worked generally okay for me but I swapped back to mint because I had to use a smart card reader and getting it to work on an immutable was a royal pain
I imagine this would work out to be something similar to redhat enterprise linux, but with the EU funding it’s development instead of the US
Doesn’t chat gpt still just make random stuff up?
$850 a month for 150 square feet??? Utter insanity aside, how is that even remotely considered ‘deeply affordable’
It seems like you really need to decide if the paycheck is worth the drama. You make it sound like you have other options, so if fear of the unknown is the only thing keeping you from jumping ship, I think you should jump.
This game was so bonkers, they don’t make them like this anymore. Though, they didn’t really make them like that then either.
Regardless, I’m so happy they’ve resurrected it. I first became aware of them when High Fleet came out, and then Carrier Command 2. They definitely publish game with a style and I love it.
I guess Google really did just change their motto to ‘be evil’
Wait, the three mile island thing wasn’t a joke?
It was always a matter of when, not if.
I tried bazzite and nobara which are both the big gaming distros. Bazzite worked the best but I had a ton of just weird little issues with stuff randomly not working unless I restarted it. I don’t have much to say about nobara because I couldn’t actually get steam to work for some reason.
I went back to mint and honestly it’s been the smoothest and easiest to use distro, plus it has a larger user base so it’s easier to find help.
Anecdotally it hasn’t been that hard. I’ve had the best luck with Linux Mint just working straight out of the box. I basically only use my computer to game so your mileage may vary if you need specialized software or something.
Also the benefit of mint is that Ubuntu has a huge user base comparatively so you can find a lot of info online for people who have probably already figured out issues that you might encounter.
There was a 4 hour youtube video that just recent dropped about Picard lol. Basically though, s3 is still complete trash, it’s just that s1 and 2 were sooooooo bad that 3 looks like a masterpiece in comparison
And the fan service was awful, it was just ‘hey remember these things?’ With literally no reason or impact to the story. One episode is just a pointless romp through memory lane when they visit a museum or something.
Angel is there, which is weird because I remember the finale being kinda stupid
My job has radicalized me against windows, the settings are factory reset quite frequently due to updates or reimaging so I’m constantly resetting every single option just to get it back to a continent state (Who in their right mind thinks centered task bar icons is a good thing!?!?!)
Yeah…I was dual booting to test mint, then accidentally wiped my windows drive when I tried out bazzite and went ‘welp, guess this is my life now’ and haven’t gone back to windows lol
I’m at work so I can’t really watch a video about this…but I don’t think I’ve had a problem running any recent game at all. The only one that comes to mind was the beta for monster hunter wilds, and I think that was sort of it’s own thing because the game was a mess for windows users too.
Also the new Derail Valley update is awesome and they’re working with valve to make it work even better on the steam deck.
