I think all of your points were covered in the video, sometimes almost verbatim.

Market cap doesn’t say how much cash they have available. For that, look at cash on hand which publicaly traded companies need to report
MS has about 75B cash on hand, so they could afford this themselves. They will probably argue that it will bring jobs and expertise to the state. Also, it’s a loan, so the interest will generate funding for the state as well. nevermind, not a loan from the state, so no interest would go to the state.
You want flaming for improper grammar, you have 2 flagrant violations in this post which absolutely does not detract from your message. You better continue going about your day not being bothered by this at all. Geez!
(I’m sure I made mistakes here too, go ahead)
As an example, UW Madison which has a fairly large and profitable athletics program generated 12 million in profit last year. They aren’t the largest athletics program in the country, but it is bigger than many. Sits around the middle.
The patents and IP owned by the university provided $134 million in grants and support. Again, the school has a large STEM component, but it isn’t a top tier university. Again, sits around the middle. The organization providing this funding manages its investments carefully and intends to provide this level of funding year after year.
Research departments generated more revenue and the funding is likely more reliable.
We’re currently in the information age, which is due to silicon. In a few hundred years, this time may reasonably be called the silicon age. Society has only recently transferred to the silicon age from the previous iron age. If we don’t cause a total collapse of our society, then we will be in the silicon age for a few hundred more years, and that will likely include space colonization.
The space age you’re referring to is likely the 60s, when space exploration was beginning. A decade or two isn’t long enough to be considered an age.

That’s why we name our ages after the materials within. Material science is the foundation for almost all other physical sciences.
Thanks, that’s good progress from the last update that I saw. Makes me hopeful that I can make the switch soon.
How much work is typically required? What kinds of tasks are needed?
I’m done with windows as soon as Linux can support HDR.
Games tend to run better on Yuzu as well, they can definitely go to high res or frame rates if you have a decent computer. Some games may not run great right away, but give it a few weeks after release for updates and it absolutely provides a better experience than Nintendo’s system.
I think they plan to offer a gaming service (eg Game Pass) that will not be dependent on a platform. I’m sure their IP will have exclusives or timed exclusives on that service.
We will probably see another Xbox. But I’m not sure if we’ll see 2 more. Same goes for Playstation. There will certainly be a ps6, but will there be a ps7?
14 is online, but it is better about letting you get one for a little bit, accomplish something and giving you a reasonable place to stop.
However, if you know you can’t trust yourself then it probably isn’t worth it.
I like a lot of similar games as you. I enjoyed both Horizon games, mostly for the main story. I did very little side quests. The Norse arc of God of War also had a pretty good story. Neither of these are RPGs in the traditional sense, but they are similar.
Many people say FF14 is one of the best, but may take upto a few hundred hours to get good. I’m not there yet.
The Legends of Heroes series is supposed to be good, but I haven’t gotten into them yet. Same with Mass Effect.
I also just realized you asked about World, but my comments apply to Rise. My mistake, sorry.
Very little story in the game, no where near the games you listed.
The primary focus is on the game play and learning to improve your skills with a build.
It is good and was the first MH game that I could get into because it removes a lot of the tedious parts from previous games. There are side quests, but they are only worth doing if you want the particular reward offered. There’s basically no story associated with them.
2 x 10^34 for those people who like to use numbers to represent numbers in a sane way.
