Pinetab2 shipped with a wifi chip without any Linux drivers. The drivers eventually got made, but before that, you needed a USB dongle with Ethernet or a adapter.
I would also like a USB-c wifi dongle for tech support reasons. Sometimes, the wifi hardware fails and you need a quick replacement to figure out what happened.
If he’s consuming right wing social media, it might be because he’s bored. Others have suggested left wing media, but maybe just finding other activities to do would help. These cost money, but maybe camping/hiking, hobby electronics/combat robots, dirt bikes/go-karts, RC planes/drones or metal fabrication are ideas that come to my mind. These are hobbies that have either politics neutral or left leaning communities. If he picks up that you’re trying to politically influence him, he’ll likely dig his heal in.
You can’t buy a UCB-C Wifi dongle that last time I checked. You have to buy a c-to-a adapter, then use a usb-a wifi dongle. It’s nuts that those don’t exist.
Probably, but I’m already running ancient hardware and I tend to favor retro and indie games, so I’m not the best to ask about that. Some people do report better performance under Proton though. Windows has a lot of bloat that doesn’t exist with WINE/Proton running in Linux.
I just use Mint. Just think of Proton as a feature of Steam. I just pick a game from my Steam library and select Force Compatibility mode on and install. Heroic Launcher (for GoG and some other things) is a few more steps, but I didn’t need a guide to figure it out. Heroic lets you choose either Proton or WINE, so I installed Steam first to minimize confusion.
Oh, and another nice feature of Heroic is that it will grab the Linux binary if it’s available somewhere even if that binary isn’t available on GoG. I was surprised that it grabbed the native client for Factorio instead of the windows version that’s on GoG.
They are. I have about the same success rate with Proton and WINE(via Heroic Launcher) as to when I still duel booted Windows. If you’re talking about games with rootkit anticheats, I never played those in Windows anyway.

Nah. Snow Leopard was peak UI and Mojave was the last tolerable version. I really need to make it a winter project to customize my desktop to have some of the UI elements that got lost in Mac.

lol. They only ever pursed anyone for selling Mac clones or hardware for doing it. And the hardware was just a preconfigured usb drive with a motherboard connector on it. I think there were actual Apple devs moonlighting as hackintosh contributors.

You need to start considering the motivation of the villains of the mainstream media that the ultra-rich are rubber stamping. The whole “Hero’s journey” lends itself to Libertarianism. Kingsman is a good example of a Libertarian morality tale, but compare how often an environmentalist is the villain vs how often they’re the hero in other media.
I had to stop watching the Flash tv series because of the causal disregard of the rights of the villains in the first season. Why did the writers mean by having Team Flash run a private, secret prison where the inmates are in perpetual, solitary confinement with no access to a lawyer and no expectation of a trial? The writers really didn’t need to create that scenario.
