I suppose that depends on what you mean by “shit”. They’re the same displays as in retail units. Maybe a generation older. But that’s it. Samsung doesn’t have special lines making different screens for a niche market like this. LG even has OLED Signage Displays.
Most still have the computer built in. But the software is complety different. They have some different features that would make sense for an always on screen in a shop, office, or airport. You can load up a thumb drive with images for the screen to rotate through. Upload new images through WiFi or Ethernet. Use that same network connection to setup, synchronize, and controll dozens of screens, making a video wall. Pretty cool stuff really.
Just none of the spyware. Since there is no individual or household to tie the data to, that part becomes pretty useless.

Rather than speaking to peoples pain and anger, they try to lecture and teach. You need to talk to people where they are not where you want them to be.
Bernie does it. That’s why so many Trump supporters like him, when they don’t like the rest of the Dems.

If you avoid politicized language, a large majority of the US is quite left leaning, and economically progressive.
One of the Republicans favorite things to hate is the ACA (Obama Care). But if you ask them about the individual policies in the ACA, they approve of each of them by at least 2/3rds. And nearly all agree that the government should prevent people from being forced into bankruptcy by medical expenses.
Class is also an Identity. One that most have in common.
Regardless of race, religion, sex, or gender; nearly all of us are working class.
So policies that help the working class, will help everyone. And those subclasses that are disproportionately held back, will be disproportionately helped by universal pro-worker policies.
If they’re using time travel to create a causality loop, that’s different than a time loop.
Time loops usually reset causality, accept for those actually experiencing the loop iterations.

The issue there, is not having a progressive party to vote for.
The Democrats have been nearly as as tied to Neoliberal Capitalism as the Republicans. They only done the bare minimum to court progressives, so as to not upset the big donating ownership class.
But perhapse if they loose enough, they might catch on and start to embrace economic-populism.
I voted for them. But I can’t blame people who don’t. We’ve been ignored for decades now.
