This is how I feel about mobile games. Even the good mobile games will have some epically animated scene that shows all out war between a bunch of magical badasses with explosions and all kinds of epic shit.

Then the gameplay is some low effort turn based game where the characters barely move and the attack effects are pathetic light shows.

I’ve always been told the “brains are computers” thing was a bad analogy but I’ve never been able to understand why it’s bad if it fits so damn well

Except we already have more houses than there are homeless people. The problem is the empty houses have ridiculous price tags due to corporate landlords and landlords refusing the sell and only rent (also at ridiculous prices)

I feel like the time to be anxious about surveillance has already past. If you have a cellphone you have a tracker and microphone on you at all times. If a store has security cameras facing outside you’re on camera.

In other words. “Ya best start believin in big brother dystopias. Yer in one”

And there it is. Exactly what I expected from someone defending this viewpoint.

Why would saying there are only two genders in an educated setting cause discourse?

It’s become pretty damn easy to spot assholes hiding behind “muh freedom of speech” so when these assholes show up we remind them that free speech doesn’t mean what they think it does.

If you have hateful thoughts you have the right to say them. And everyone else has the right to call you a bigoted shit head and ignore you.

On the topic of the right place I agree. If I go to China and start ranting about Winnie the Pooh I’m gonna get thrown in prison or killed or beaten. But this is the internet. The main reason you’ll get banned from participating is if you piss off the majority.

No it’s more that I can’t fathom what kind of content they are posting to be banned the way they claim.

If everything you do causes adverse reactions from everyone else. It’s you that has the problem.
