I think I had to update twice, maybe three times in the past four or five years? I’ve never considered that an issue.
I’ve been using a hacked Spotify app for years. It takes 5 minutes to set up and I don’t have to pay any money to a soulless corporation who will throw a few half pennies to the artists that I enjoy. Oh, and I get to disable the shit ui choices that they try to implement so I get a better experience than a paying customer.
The barrier is truly tiny. My steam deck is essentially a pirate box.
It just takes some time to get used to lutris and understand the process. Knowing how wine and wine prefixes work is helpful.
This is not necessary at all. Installing a cracked game on a PC and copying the files over is all you need to do. Then you just add the exe to steam and force it to run with proton.
I know somebody that just recently had to buy another drive for their 32TB unraid media server that runs in a DIY clean box in the basement. Is that small or large? I can’t imagine myself doing that much crime.
Does reading the abstract count?
Make sure the cracked game works on your PC. Make sure you’re launching the game in compatibility mode with proton or whichever. 95% of the games I’ve tried have worked straight out of the box like that. For the rare ones that didn’t I had to download the Goldberg steam emulator and put that in the game folder. I hope that helps with your issue.
