That’s what I ended up doing. I’m playing it through emudeck. The camera is still awful though, so I doubt that I will finish the game. I’ll most likely jump to Soul Reaver 2.

Yes! The voice acting in this series was so damn good.
I’m trying to replay the series right now on my Steam Deck. Started with Soule Reaver, but the controls are pretty jarring coming from modern control schemes. Soul Reaver 2 was always my favorite though, the story and setting of that game is a masterpiece
The entire Legacy of Kain series. Wish they would have finished the series :(
The app is broken for me. Can’t change away from local in my home feed.
That’s a pretty similar story to mine. Used Linux pretty exclusively over a decade ago, then switched back for my gaming PC. Now that I’m back on Linux though, I don’t see any reason to use windows on anything but my company PC, Linux is just better IMO now.
Not sure what Adobe products you’re using, or in what application, but I do photography as a hobby and do my editing on my linux machines. Rawtherapee and DarkTable are good alternatives to lightroom, with Gimp being a very good alternative to Photoshop. Gimp is getting better all the time, but Darktable already is a stronger editor than Lightroom.
Haven’t tried any video editing alternatives (not my thing), but these programs have the added benefit of being free.
A version of linux (distro). I’m running Fedora and it’s fantastic
Give Linux Mint a try. It is very similar to Windows and will make the transition very smooth. Pretty much any windows programs that you want to run you can run in a shell like Wine.
Or trying to do any work on the go? This whole idea is just idiotic to me.
The situation has never been better for comfortably abandoning Windows. Come to Linux, we have penguins
I just bought a T480 Thinkpad off of eBay a few weeks ago for around $150 USD and put fedora 38 on it. Purchased a larger battery for $45 and an extra 8gb ram for like $20 and honestly couldn’t be happier with it.
This. They had no way to be sure that the sound they detected was from the sun imploding. From the standpoint of the search crew, it makes much more sense to continue until you can verify without a doubt that you detected the failure.
How is it impossible? Plenty of studios will work on multiple projects. They can easily have multiple teams working on different projects under the same studio. To think that a company as large as Bethesda is only working on a single IP at any given time is idiotic.
You keep repeating that, I understand that they’ve been making other games, but they have 3 satellite studios and decided for the last 12 years to milk Skyrim completely fucking dry instead of giving us another elder scrolls game. My lack of enthusiasm has nothing to do with their other games, it’s just their shitty business practice of selling us Skyrim over and over again, remastered bullshit, trying to monetize mods and all the other garbage that they’ve done with Skyrim. This entire post was about elder scrolls, hence the discussion of elder scrolls and not their other games.
That’s not what I meant by not making anything new, I meant in the elder scrolls series. Instead of developing anything new in that line like the fans have been begging for, they just keep releasing Skyrim over and over and making release announcements for Skyrim, over and over like it’s something new.
I’m on fedora and it’s been fantastic
At this point I don’t even care. I’m sure I’ll still buy it when it comes out, but they’ve lost my enthusiasm with the milking dry of Skyrim instead of developing something new.
That’s why I just bought a steam deck to supplement my PC. I can sit on the couch and play, or take it with me and play wherever I am. Plus, it’s the basically best emulator on the market. Oh and I can play any switch game I care to play on it too.
