As a Canadian who thinks the usa has too lax gun laws, I think this bill is egregious. Way too invasive.

What if you just want to save a buck printing your dnd minis but have a criminal record for accidentally hitting a palace guard with a stray fireball spell? There are plenty of reasons to buy a 3d printer, most of them don’t include arms manufacturing.

You should not need a back check to buy a printer. What’s next? Back checks to buy a hammer?
