I wish I could say Bevy could replace Unity ECS, but I can’t. While Bevy’s ECS is undeniably far better than Unity ECS, one of the issues with Bevy is sometimes developers don’t want to be completely locked into using ECS, and since Bevy is practically ECS-only that causes some issues. Plus the fact that Bevy is just new and unpolished, it lacks a lot of features that would be necessary to even be considered professionally.

A lot of the time it’s about being lucky enough be able to have or form connections with rich stupid people. Those kinds are a lot more willing to throw insane amounts of money at someone/some company they vaguely know to do things they know nothing of but hear a lot about.
Or just working at a company that’s well-known in the area and deals with clients very intimately while the product is being created.
Sometimes charging more for the same service makes them want it more, to them it means it’s premium programming (as opposed to the off-brand wish dot com programming). But sometimes they demand disgracefully cheap yet world-class service and throw a tantrum when they can’t pay you $5 an hour for a full rebranded recreation of the Amazon web service.

I can definitely be wrong, but since the US has a lot more of a veteran obsession culture than other countries there are probably laws that give companies major benefits (like idk tax credits) for hiring veterans, so they gain more for hiring those useless employees than they lose.
“First world” doesn’t refer to the division between western bloc and eastern bloc anymore. The Three Worlds Model isn’t used for modern international relations. Now the term “first world” refers to highly developed industrialized countries, i.e. basically a capitalist country with a stable economy and a high standard of living. Many US allies (including some NATO members) aren’t first world, although developed countries tend to be NATO-aligned (except Hong Kong/Macau, if you count those, and Singapore). “Third world” also certainly doesn’t refer to unaligned countries anymore.
