If you didn’t already know, your raspberry pi can output component video to connect to your CRT
Came here to say this. GL.iNET is amazing
What about 20+ years when it costs between $100-600 from a guy on eBay or the overpriced retro game store?
Shes a 'beaut.
I regret selling off my games and hardware over the years for upgrades. I wish I had my childhood Gameboys still. But alas, it gives me something to collect todat

You all are welcome to join me there in sharing our love for this console. Super nostalgic for me and I think my favorite game is Banjo-Kazooie
For me, I think a system becomes “retro” once the hardware loses all form of official support from its manufacturer. The Wii U and 3DS would newly be retro now that Nintendo has closed down the eShop and has discontinued support
Check out some of the Pikmin 2 romhacks
Pikmin 251 and Multiplayer edition are two of the standouts
This is coming from a TSA agent, not sure how much I trust it. Either way I hope this isn’t true. I think part of the switch’s success was it’s embracing of a standard modern controller layout (4 face buttons, shoulder buttons, triggers, d pad, 2 analog sticks, capture and home buttons). I love being able to bring standard Bluetooth controllers across multiple devices. I really don’t want to have to buy a bunch of new controllers with a new switch, it makes the transition that much harder for a niche/alienating feature only Nintendo will really know how to use
It’s obvious, he’s tweeting in English. Who else would it be for?
Forget the smartwatch, I want that 3.5 mm floppy!
She tries to say “Apple” it’s not her fault that severe brain damage causes her to respond nonverbally
It would be really nice to be able to download all the games I purchased for the switch if backwards compatibility is in play. I don’t necessarily think it’s essential though, I plan on keeping the switches (plural) I’ve already bought as I like to do with all my old consoles.
What is essential is the ability to use old hardware with the new switch. At the very least, Bluetooth controllers should still be supported so I could use my switch pro and 8bitdo controllers. Joy cons and docks would be nice to have, but I think those would ultimately depend on what kind of form factor the new hardware has. I doubt Nintendo will abandon the hybrid dock able format, but we will see.
Portal, Portal 2. Bonus points for also having a female antagonist and passing the bechdel test
Ah yes, the classic “better nuclear aniahialation than cede power” take
Parking is a game changer. I’m really excited to solve traffic forever!
Chrono Trigger. Always feels like being home with old friends. A joy every time I playthrough
Liberals once again refusing to acknowledge their hippocracy. They must be fuming after Comrade Hakim’s latest video
I’ve reached the point where I’m afraid to actually be done with Tears of the Kingdom. I suppose I actually need to so I can get Pikmin 4. I’m a longtime Pikmin fan so this feels like a fever dream actually having Nintendo do another big push on the series.
Also intermittently playing New Pokemon Snap. Shameless plus, but sub to !pokemon_snap@lemmy.piperservers.net and see pics from my playthrough and add your own.
In the retro category, my consoles are crying in neglect. I’ve only been playing couch multiplayer intermittently when friends come over, usually Didddy Kong Racing on N64
