I hate reddit as a platform but I still have to use it every once in a while because people won’t move to Lemmy/mbin/piefed.
I honestly don’t understand it. People complain that they don’t use the fediverse because it’s small but somehow they don’t realize if they just migrate over then it won’t be.
It’s aggravating how dumb people can be but hey, that’s the world we’re living in. I’ll continue to use Lemmy and visit reddit if I have to.
Interesting… I’m very happy with the instance I’m on and with Lemmy but if I decide to self host I might set up piefed instead.
Honestly I’ve found most distros pretty solid. It’s just the software that can be buggy. Gnome for me crashes on gpu’s with 4gb of vram, like the rx 5500 and 1650. Steam is better now but I remember the interface being very jank. Left clicking something just made the drop down menu disappear and not actually select it. A lot of programs still not scaling right on Wayland even tho xorg has been dead for years on years. Ect…
But even with all these issues I’ve had recently and not so recently… Still so much better than windows
First I’m hearing of it. I’ma try it out
I can play my pirated games forever too
Is there any distro that automatically collect data? Every distro I’ve tried asked directly on install or at first boot
Fuck gog. if I need a game to live forever I pirate.
Yeah swear. Gardening would be fine if all I cared about was dirt and weeds.
Fucking me the change you wanna see. Invite your friends to use the platform and post your own shit
Open app on phone and search them up.
Or go to the instance I use and search them up
Fedora. My tp link card becomes unusable if I download too much data. The speeds keep getting slower and ping higher after long use. And I just bought an Asus one and it worked at first but then immediately stopped working after I rebooted and there’s a bunch of driver errors
I’m starting to feel it. WiFi drivers are always acting up on my desktop. I can’t find a card that works. I’m bout to just take the one out of my laptop
Oh neat I didn’t know that.
I feel with mastodon it’s different because instances don’t host communities to subscribe to. Just people to follow
Yes the choose was there but it automatically was filled with a default instance.
Idk I find Lemmy easier to use. I go to Lemmy site -> I use site
I go to reddit -> I get asked to turn of my VPN -> get asked to login -> get asked to download mobile app -> accept cookies -> I finally use site.
Damn reddit is so much easier
The irony of a self hosted community refusing to self host…
Honestly back during the API fiasco I was honestly expecting the mods their to make their own instance together. The fact they didn’t blew me away
That’s also reddit tho…
I love gnome’s design a lot and I want to use it so badly but for whatever reason it crashes on my PC if I game. Entire DE just closes and I’m back to the login screen. I thought it was just some weird Nvidia bug but same thing happenes on my AMD card.
The issue is the vram will fill up from gaming and both cards I have only have 4GB of VRAM.
However KDE doesn’t crash once the VRAM fills up. I don’t understand why or how the DE is affecting VRAM management but on KDE it’ll start using my ram and that’ll fill up a good bit. Game will slow down to a crawl but hey at least it doesn’t crash.
