Those are some inflated numbers
Tbh I know this isn’t helpful, but I recommend take the L and find better games to play. Errantly perma banning users shows a lack of consumer consideration and does not deserve further energy to fix. They fucked up, take your business elsewhere.
Again, I know it’s not helpful but I think worth considering. Companies some decades ago used to be user experience as the top goal, but that has gone to the sidelines for many companies, and I don’t think it’s good to normalize. Hence, boycott when it happens.
I can feel my hand cramping just looking at this.
TEN WHOLE GIGABYTES!! OMG WHAT ARE WE TO DO??
Nah. It doesn’t say not to plan. It says to prefer responding to change over planning. Which means both happen but responding to change is more crucial. Or put another way don’t let your plan get in the way of responding to change.
I’m sure you were being sarcastic, but I get kind of tired of the Agile strawman and people shitting on it. It’s not a complex philosophy yet people extrapolate so much (too much) and then get annoyed when their assumptions don’t pan out well. even performing sprints is an extrapolation, so this meme gets it wrong too.
Wife spilled some beer in the keyboard. Screen doesn’t turn on, it doesn’t hold a charge, keyboard doesn’t work. But we need sensitive data off the drive.
Take it to their “genius” bar where we are told there is nothing that can be done for the old data and we should just buy a new one.
I take it home, Google a bit and try target disk mode. Et Voila I’m in and can get that data from the hard drive as though it was an external HDD.
Why the Apple “genius” didn’t share this option with me? They don’t actually care about helping.
And that’s the rub with Apple. They don’t give a fuck about their users or developers. Just want to herd them around to make more money off their overpriced garbage.

I was expecting something more profound. Isn’t this just the concept of using variables to keep code readable? Not a new concept and likely one most devs learn early on.
How long ago was this?
Banks have laws and regulations that they must abide by to secure the access to and information of customer accounts. A security team will surely have to sign off on whatever the app developer or customer experience manager wants to implement.
Well there’s also just a lot more games now, and even retro games that have been around are competing (I’m playing RE1 for example, bought it recently cuz I’ve never played it before)
So I don’t think it’s intrinsically due to other life costs being high. When you have games like battlebit and palworld and lots of ftp games just saturating the market it’s hard to justify charging so much. People literally don’t have the lifespan to play all the games that exist and will continue to be created over time.
So that you can self host I think
I like this approach cuz it plays ball and can be reused for a number of products. Could have an “appliances” network and make a reusable fake “appliances” identity for any device that wants to IoT.
Reassignment isn’t the same as mutation. But mutation depends on the type of value. If gender was a string like “female” it wouldn’t be mutable cuz strings are immutable in JS.
Sounds like it’s addictive like marijuana or caffeine-Not actually addictive, but habit forming, which can be unhealthy. But when you take it away the person doesn’t really think about it too much. at least not throughout the day as a “back-of-mind” distraction as folks with an actual addiction would have.
I can’t tell if this in-fighting on Linux flavors is in good humor or just snobby opinions.
