Do tell, how does it make your life easier?
OK, sounds good to me. Thanks for the quick reply.
So it’s like a bounty system then? Wouldn’t that contribute to low-quality PRs that are rushed to get the money ASAP? And what if the company tries to cancel the bounty right before the commit is pushed, when all the work is done?
What a great way to build trust in a newly born platform! And how respecting to the people that are using the platform! Way to go!
Real question. When they say “we don’t sell your data”, that also means they are saying “we don’t trade your information with other companies for other things that aren’t money”, or it doesn’t?
I was already aware of this fork. I haven’t tried it, but does it really fix most of the UX issues of GIMP?
From the update:
One area we want to focus on after 3.0 is improving our UI/UX design process. We have set up a separate UX repository to report and discuss issues related to design. We are looking to build a team of designers to discuss and create design improvements to GIMP that also respect existing user’s workflows. Denis Rangelov has taken a strong interest in this area and has already done great work in identifying, categorizing, and moving design issues from the code repository to the dedicated design section. Some design improvements have already been implemented for 3.0, and we look forward to working with community designers to give people a better experience!
It’ll take some time, but it seems like improvments may be coming.
I loved that the VP of Content added that mods will still be able to protest when Reddit is literally is getting rid of major tools for mods to do an effective protest. Like, I get that Reddit is a company, and that it’s a platform they own, and that they lose profit whenever a big subreddits get privated, but they keep giving mods middle finger after middle finger.
Ubuntu isn’t terrible, there are just bad things on Ubuntu that aren’t present in other distros.
Mozilla is corrupt? How so?
I’m afraid this answer isn’t 100% correct. There are ways to find out a file’s type beyond looking at an extension. For example, there are lots of file formats where all of the files start with a specific sequence of bites, known as a file signature (or as “magic bytes” or “magic numbers”).
You can try the file
command line tool to check that you can find out a file’s format without resorting to its extension, and you can read the tool’s manpage to learn how it works.
We live in a capitalist society. You can do whatever you want as long as you have money or promise lots of money to powerful people.
The BBC contacted Telegram for comment about its refusal to join the child protection schemes and received a response after publication which has been included.
Where is it? I didn’t find it anywhere in the article.
Is it really not true? How many companies have been training their models using art straight out of the Internet while completely disregarding their creative licences or asking anyone for permission? How many times haven’t people got a result from a GenAI model that broke IP rights, or looked extremely similar to an already existing piece of art, and would probably get people sued? And how many of these models have been made available for commercial purposes?
The only logical conclusion is that GenAI steals art because it has been constantly “fed” with stolen art.
They explained what they’re trying to do, but they didn’t explain the how, and that annoyed me. Why do we have to wait for the countdown to know actual relevant information about this project?
I don’t think you answered the question on the title. Why should most people not use Slackware?
I DISAGREE with you. YOU ARE NOW OBLIGATED TO ENTER AN EPIC DEBATE TO THE DEATH WITH ME BECAUSE REACHING A CONSENSUS IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THE INTERET!!!
